My Motivation

I believe that every life and story matters! I love leaning into the lives of others, to not just hear their story, but to also help them to see and experience the bigger story that God has invited them to be a part of. I am also passionate about helping individuals to grow intentionally in their walk with Christ and in living out their unique gifts and passions for God!

 

My Background

I have been a lead pastor for over 23 years, including six years as a strategic church planter. I have also been privileged to serve with both the Wesleyan and Nazarene Church. In our time of ministry we have served in Oklahoma, Illinois, Arkansas and Missouri. In March of 2018, Becky and I moved to Columbia to serve at ComoNaz Church and to the surrounding community.

 

My Spiritual Journey

I became a committed follower of Christ at the age of 15. I knew God had a purpose and plan over my life to serve Him during my teen years, but it wasn’t until after Becky and I were married in 1988, that God began to beautifully unfold His direction and leading in our lives. I strive daily to learn what it means to live out Galatians 2:20

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me…”

 

One More Thing

I love spending time in the outdoors…hiking, fishing and simply listening to the sounds of nature all around me. I also love reading, traveling to new places, and experiencing it all with my Beautiful wife, Becky! We have been blessed with two wonderfully talented children; our son Nick (Bethany) & daughter Emily (Matt) and we have six of the most amazing grandkids in the entire world!
